Ted Milleman
Remembered by Jeff Hillstrom
Ted Milleman passed away on the 12th of March of this year. He was best remembered as one of a kind. Ted was once our Safety Officer. He was always up for making sure people remembered the information he was giving them no matter how long it took. The way he would instill the memories was through humor. If you remember anything about Ted, remember, he was never afraid to drop his pants to show you the latest technology in long distance riding (why stop for a bathroom if you don't need gas?)
Ted was a member of recovery and encouraged others (in his own way), to learn from his mistakes and try a new way. His legacy will live on through the numerous lives he touched. His testament to that fact was obvious in the number of friends, family, and acquaintances that showed up for his memorial service.
Ted was a wealth of information (if you had the time to spend listening), and was a very caring and thoughtful person. His portrayal of Elvira brought a standing ovation at the State Rally a couple of years ago, and again at our Christmas Party. Ted was a rider who saved a lot on tires, because he didn't use them all that often (pick up Ted's bike again?) He was always an interesting guy to have with you. His rhetoric and humor will be missed ......R.I.P. Ted
Tom Thompson
Remembered by Jeff Hillstrom
Tom, Tommy, Tom-Tom, TNT (the N is for Nathan), Thompson passed away on March 6th 2008. He was a former member of our Chapter. He, as others in our Chapter was associated and worked for and with substance abuse folks. He was a former abuser who turned his life around and shared with all those that he met. He made a great difference in a lot of folks lives and his legacy lives on in the friends he made and the lives he touched. He lived the “life” in sobriety. He lived a new life and lots of folks (as was evident from the numbers at his memorial) are better in their lives for having known him.
Tom loved riding Harleys and that was one of the last things he and his friends did prior to his passing. He was a nice thoughtful, and a caring guy. That is rare in this day and age. Even more rare was the fact that he wasn't afraid to show it.
R.I.P. Tom, Tommy, Tom-Tom, TNT (the N is for Nathan) Thompson....
