Note From The Director

Well here it is May already, and the Fun Run is just day’s away. I hope everyone has bought their tickets, will sign up to work, and come and have fun. Remember all of those charities, and local organizations we support? This is how we are able to do it, I hope to see you all out there on May 15th.

It seems the weather hasn’t been all that great this past month but we have still had some pretty good rides. I would like to say thanks to all of you who come out to ride as a Chapter. One weekend in particular comes to mind, we were heading to Mt Diablo, 14 of us had met at Eagles Nest and headed out Hwy 4, weather was a little cloudy and cold. I was in the lead, and trying not to lose anyone by going to fast or going to slow. Some of you know, even with a G P S on the bike, I can get turned around and not know where to go. I started out O K, until we got out to what I thought was Marsh Creek Rd, it wasn’t. I was able to correct my mistake and we went on, to the right Marsh Creek Rd. Glad we don’t bone the Rd. Captain. We made it to the turn off to Mt Diablo, made a quick pit stop, and after a little rock kicking, we decided not to go up the mountain because of rain and clouds at the top. Since we were in the neighborhood, we decided to go on over to Devil Mt Harley Davidson, and the Red Caboose for lunch, then off to Livermore H D. We just made a great day of it, despite the disappointment of not being able to go up to the top of Mt Diablo. Stay tuned for this ride to be rescheduled. FYI, if you’ve never ridden Marsh Creek Rd. it’s a great ride.

For those of you who were able to make it to my retirement party, thank you very much. We had a great time and hope you did too.

With that being said Keep the Rubber Side Down and the Shiny Side Up.
